About Amy Schuler
As a dedicated and experienced person-centered, strengths-based, and trauma-focused counselor, Amy is passionate about empowering children and adolescents in overcoming life's challenges and reaching their full potential. With a deep understanding of the impact of trauma on young minds, she strives to create a safe, supportive, and encouraging environment where they can heal, grow, and thrive.
Amy received her Masters in Counseling from the University of Puget Sound and holds an Associate License in Mental Health Counseling. Her approach is founded on the belief that each individual possesses inherent strengths and resilience. By engaging in a collaborative partnership with children and adolescents she helps them identify and harness these strengths to overcome obstacles and build a positive self-concept. By building upon their existing coping mechanisms and fostering their resilience, she aims to support them in developing a sense of healing.
She is devoted to providing culturally sensitive and developmentally appropriate services that meet the unique needs of each child and adolescent by utilizing a wide range of therapeutic modalities. She believes in collaborating closely with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and supportive approach to their well-being. Together, we can work towards empowering our youth to overcome adversity, and live fulfilling and meaningful lives.
