About Liz White
Liz White is a graduate student therapist intern completing her clinical training in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Prior to therapy, she worked in learning and development, coaching high-achievers and teaching personal and professional development. That work showed her how often "I'm fine" is a habit, not the truth, especially for people who've mastered looking okay from the outside.
Liz works with adults navigating a wide range of life's challenges, including anxiety, a mind that won't slow down, a sense of disconnection, or the fallout of a big life change. She also works with LGBTQ+ and neurodivergent clients, bringing lived understanding alongside clinical training.
The approach Liz takes is direct, collaborative, and grounded in evidence-based care. She believes therapy should feel like a partnership and that clients deserve a therapist who can keep up with how they think. She helps clients build an accurate, compassionate understanding of their thoughts so they can respond with skill instead of getting pulled into old patterns of doubt and reassurance-seeking. Liz uses an integrative approach, drawing on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). She is currently training in Inference-Based CBT (I-CBT) for OCD.
