About Linda Brooks
Linda Brooks is currently completing her Master of Education in Marriage and Family Therapy at Lamar University. She is finishing her practicum and internship with Thoughtful Counseling Group and plans to continue at TCG as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHCA).
Linda has worked with families and teens for over 30 years, specializing in helping families navigate conversations around growing up, sexuality, identity, and healthy relationships. Her long-standing passion for helping people recognize their strengths and live empowered lives has deepened through her transition into counseling.
Linda is drawn to this work because she values authenticity and the process of becoming more fully yourself. That process looks different for everyone. Sometimes it means letting go of something familiar; other times, it means stepping toward something new. Either way, it’s not always easy to navigate alone.
She works with women of all ages who are experiencing life transitions—whether related to marriage, divorce, loss, coming out, or a search for deeper purpose. She also works with teens and young adults as they explore who they are and who they want to become. Topics such as identity, anxiety, sexuality, self-esteem, relationships, and the many ways change shows up in life are often part of the conversation. She also supports families and LGBTQ+ individuals.
Her approach is open and collaborative, shaped by what feels most helpful to you. If you’re looking for a place to begin...if you’re thinking about reaching out...please consider this your invitation to do so.
