About Sara Pirani
Sara Pirani is a graduate student in Clinical Mental Health Counseling who is passionate about helping individuals navigate life's challenges, heal from adversity, and build on their existing strengths. Her background includes crisis intervention and support work with survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault, and individuals affected by trauma, displacement, and significant life transitions. Prior to entering the counseling field, Sara worked in project management and client-focused roles, experiences that strengthened her communication skills, cultural awareness, and ability to connect with people from diverse backgrounds.
Sara's clinical interests include trauma recovery, anxiety, depression, relationship concerns, self-esteem, and recovery from emotional abuse and coercive control. Her approach is grounded in person centered, strengths-based, and trauma-informed principles, while incorporating Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques to help clients develop insight, resilience, and practical coping skills. Sara strives to create a supportive, collaborative, and nonjudgmental environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to move toward meaningful change.
