Thoughtful Counseling Group
Tiferatsoka is a passionate and dedicated clinical social work intern who brings over 16 years of healthcare experience into my counseling practice. She specialize in supporting youth, families, and older adults through life transitions, trauma recovery, and emotional healing. Her journey began in the nursing field, where she served with empathy and compassion, and it has since evolved into a broader calling—to walk alongside individuals and families on their path toward wholeness.
She currently is completing my Master of Social Work at Grand Canon University, with a focus on clinical practice and am gaining hands-on experience through internships and community-based work. My counseling approach is person-centered, strengths-based, and spiritually integrated, honoring the unique beliefs and cultural values of each client. I draw not only from academic training but also from my own life as a mother, caregiver, and multicultural community member to create safe, authentic spaces for healing.
She primarily work with youth navigating identity and mental health challenges, families overcoming intergenerational trauma, and older adults dealing with memory loss or isolation. My specialties include grief and loss, spiritual trauma, life transitions, and cross-cultural counseling. She also have experience supporting those facing caregiver burnout and those from blended or immigrant families.
What sets her work apart is my ability to integrate practical care strategies with emotional and spiritual insight. She uses evidence-based tools such as motivational interviewing, trauma-informed practices, and narrative therapy—infused with warmth, faith sensitivity, and cultural humility. She believes healing happens not only through talk but also through being truly seen and valued.
In her career, She have been honored to serve diverse populations in both residential memory care and community mental health settings. Her mission as a behavioral health care provider is to foster resilience, promote dignity, and help individuals rediscover their voice and purpose—especially those who feel overlooked or underserved. She aims to be a bridge between where people are and where they long to be emotionally, spiritually, and socially.
An upcoming milestone she is proud of is her forthcoming MSW graduation, which marks a new chapter in fully stepping into her calling as a licensed clinical social worker. She is looking forward to continuing her work with grace, professionalism, and purpose.
